Automatic Installation/Eclipse Marketplace

Eclipse Marketplace Install Button

In case you're having trouble installing the Eclipse 4GL Plug-In using the recommended installation process, please check if your installation of Eclipse contains the Marketplace Client (MPC). You can find more information about the Eclipse Marketplace Client here.

Manual Installation/Eclipse IDE

  1. In the Eclipse IDE go to Help > Install New Software...
  2. In the Install dialog click on Add...
  3. In the Add Repository dialog enter a name in the Name field.
  4. In Location: add after http://

  5. Click OK.
  6. In the Install dialog check the Eclipse4GL repository.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Install dialog > Install Details review the items to be installed.
  9. Click Next.
  10. In the Install dialog > Review Licenses review the licenses to be installed.
  11. If you agree with the software license agreement, select I accept the terms of the license agreement.
  12. Click Finish to finish software installation.
  13. Restart the Eclipse IDE.

Updating from an existing version

If you plan to update from an existing version, you can also use the software update features in Eclipse:
  • In Eclipse select Help > About Eclipse IDE.
  • Select Installation Details.
  • In the Installed Software tab, select the Eclipse4GL Plugin.
  • Click Update...
  • Follow the installation instructions on the screen.

In Eclipse you can also use the Available Software Sites preference dialog to add software repositories:

  1. In Eclipse go to Window > Preferences > Install/Update > Available Software Sites
  2. Click Add: to open the Add Site dialog to enter the site information.
  3. Click OK.
